My Reflection
Nation:
H:Magyarország
E: Hungary
Name: Héderváry Erzsébet (Hungarian order of her name and using "Erzsébet" as Hungary's name for this roleplay since neither "Elizabeta" or "Elizaveta" are real Hungarian names; just a variation of the name that Hima used for easier pronunciation for Japanese fans.)
Gender: Female
Appearance Age: 23
Actual Age:
1118 (Magyar settlement in the Carpathian Basin/Principality of Hungary)
1013 (Kingdom Of Hungary)
95 (Secession From Austria-Hungary)
24 (Current Republic)
Appearance
Hair Color: Chestnut Brown
Eye Color: Emerald Green
Height: 160 cm (5'3 ft)
Weight: 57 kg (125 lbs.)
Appearance: At first glance, Erzsébet comes off as a average; as in her overall figure is a generic representation of what society deems to be the usual attractive female. Her frame may weigh slightly more than what most would expect, the extra weight is actually muscle (Which traditionally weighs more than fat) from years of physical endeavors. Even so, that extra muscle remains hidden behind her slim and curvy figure. Her skin is of fair complexion, common for those of Central European ancestry.
The Magyar has a wavy crop of shiny chestnut brunette hair that ends a little past her waist. She rarely bothers to fix it up aside from the usual combing and brushing, it already looks nice enough so why bother? Her face can be defined as round, complimented with high cheekbones and highly expressive, its easy to read her mood when she wants someone to. Her eyes are a shining green, almost like freshly cut emeralds, and just as-if even more expressive than her face. You know what they say, the eyes are the gateway into an individual's soul. By the average human standard, she is quite the looker.
Throughout the centuries, Erzsébet has kept most of her old outfits in storage, even if some are literally just rags at this point. The only outfits she still has use for in the present day are her traditional Hungarian folk dress and her military outfit, in case she ever found herself in a time of war again. Most of the time, she can live wearing fashionable clothing that modern women wear.
As far as attire goes, the femme can be seen sporting different clothing corresponding to the weather and her mood. Cardigans, sweatshirts, peasant tops, graphic t-shirts, oversized sweaters, scarves, jeans, Converse and Coach sneakers, boots...so on and so forth. With the exception of an occasional spring or summer dress, she only wears clothing that she feels comfortable in. You'll rarely ever see her wear anything tight or over the top and its never strange for her to have one of those days were she'll only have the motivation to throw on a casual hoodie and sweatpants.
Defining Features: A flower that rests on the side of her that represents Lake Balaton, along with a golden cross necklace that she keeps around her neck at all times.
Who Am I?
Personality: Generally speaking, when one first encounters Erzsébet, they'll see a pleasant faced young woman. Her outward character is composed yet cheerful, an interesting yet well-balanced mix. For the most part, she approaches both friends and strangers with a faint smile and interested expression. Friendly, approachable and always willing to lend a listening ear, most would consider to her to be a likeable being.
Beneath that collected and sweet exterior, Erzi is quite the spitfire. She never had the patience to be waited on, or even behave like a proper lady, it was never her style. Even if she has adjusted to what society would want from her; to behave like a disciplined female and not like a man, the Hungarian still has some of those aged traits that she had in her youth. Grime, mud, blood and violence were all things that not only unfazed her, but also amused her, all ideas that would certainly startle other the typical woman. Erzi is her own individual. Free-spirited, strong and independent. She rarely pays mind to what others may think of her or her opinions. She does what she wants, simple as that. The rules of bigotry never applied to her, as she always places her own beliefs before anyone else and will go to extremes to prove that she is correct. Most would perceive this as being stubborn, an infamous trait of hers. She isn't easily influenced by the ideas of others and can easily see right through people and their lies, most of the time anyway.
Erzsébet, for the most part has average intelligence, if not a little higher than normal. She is witty and a thinker when she has the tolerance, able to twist the words of her rivals and confuse them, at times oblivious to her little mind game. With brains like hers, the woman is also quite mature and composed when her temper and mood aren't provoked. She'll easily take responsibility for her own actions and behave like an adult when she wants to be or if the situation calls for one. Not surprisingly, she has a remarkable amount of independence, to the extent that she prefers working alone instead or working in a group. She'll tolerate group work if she has to do, but for the most part she'll prefer to work alone, or at least have things done her way for its the only way she gets things accomplished.
Only few have been foolish enough to mess with the nation's temper in recent years, most are aware of frightening side Erzsébet's personality and the fury she is capable of releasing when angry. No, she won't smack a skillet to your face, at most you'll receive a small punch to the shoulder or a sickening sweet threat of some fashion. She only uses physical violence if her challenger wishes to fight her, in which she'll take up the offer with little hesitation. Or in the case where she has to defend her land and people, that is something she will do regardless. The adrenaline and rush that violence bring can be overwhelming, making the woman quite battle thirsty and hasty for a fight sometimes; most likely to bring back nostalgia of when she was a tomboyish young nation, running free with the horses and winning fights. Unfortunately, those days have long been a relic of the past and Erzi has found herself adjusting to fit the era. The characteristics of the untamed Magyar tribes still find themselves showing through sometimes in Erzsébet.
Her insecurities make her quite sensitive to others opinions sometimes, even if she'll usually shrug them off or pretend that they don't bother her, they more than likely do. At this point in her life, she's learned how to mask her feelings and pretend that they don't bother her. She rarely cries, or at least in front of others. No, thats a sign of weakness and vulnerability, an attribute that someone of her character should never show. Erzsébet is also the kind that quickly blames herself-if she's directly involved with a problem. As previously mentioned, she knows how to take responsibility for her own faults and believes that everyone else should too.
Prominently, Erzi is known for her sense of justice, always standing and supporting those who can't do it for themselves. The femme has a high appreciation for both family and friends, even if she's uncertain of how they feel for her in return, her love for them is unbounded and sincere. The happier side of the Hungarian is certainly appealing. She is loyal to close ones until the end, even willing to help random strangers who may need a hand and to some, even an older sister or even motherly figure.

- Even though she has long been a part of Europe, her history and ancestry in Asia makes her slightly feel out of place at times. Basically, she wants to be accepted as a true European nation.
Fun Facts:
- Erzsébet is a relative of both Finland and Estonia. (Cousins?) Reason being is that the ancient Finno-Ugric tribes of the Ural Mountains/Central Asia dispersed and migrated westward to Europe. The Magyars eventually settled Central Europe while the Finns and Estonians headed towards Northern Europe. Their languages are still distantly related (Uralic languages) but due to location and influences of neighboring countries, the three nations share little in common sans that.
- Erzsébet has a dislike and refuses to clink any beer glass or bottle she may have. This because of the legend that the Austrians celebrated the execution of the 13 Hungarian Martyrs in 1849 by clinking their beer glasses. Since then, Magyars vowed they wouldn't clink their beer glasses for 150 years. Though yes, this time has expired, old traditions die hard and Hungary herself hasn't forgotten about why she does it in the first place.
- Though it is rarely shown, Hungary is an accomplished cartoonist. Hungarian animation is considered unique and well-known throughout Europe and produced some well-known classics such as Vuk: The Little Fox, Willy the Sparrow, and Cat City.
- Erzsébet, contraire to what others may believe, can not solve a Rubik's Cube to save her life. During the height of the invention's popularity, she would spend countless hours trying to solve the puzzle with no avail. Its still not a wise idea to bring up the subject even today.
- Hungary is an expert on how the presentation software program, Prezi. She can create a creative and informative Prezi within minutes. Other nations have yet to beat this record.
- Aside from her stable of equines that she uses for riding, Erzi own two dogs for companionship, a Puli named Gubnac and a Viszla named Vadóc.
- When depressed, she listens to "Gloomy Sunday" aka the "Hungarian Suicide Song". Never when she in angry or moody, just when she feels engulfed in extreme grief.
- She is an adept mechanic and repairwoman. Cars, TVs, DVD players, microwaves-you name it, if they're broken she can fix them.
Particularly clocks that a certain aristocrat keeps bringing her. - Her Myer-Briggs personality type is INFJ, also know as the "counselor" temperament.

Sample Post
November 4th 1956
She was done with this sh*t. Though dawn was still hours away, the Magyar had been up all throughout the dark hours, they were here. Elizabeta knew the risks of what she and her people were doing, but her cares couldn't have been any lower. Though she had only been part of the Soviet Realm for less than ten years at this point, life had been a nightmare from the deepest pits of Hell. Innocent Hungarians were stripped of their rights, crimed for holding personals beliefs and living in fear and poverty as most of their crops and food products produced were sent to Russia. Hungary hated Russia, but not nearly as much as the monster of his boss known as Joseph Stalin. Everyone in Europe knew he was a vicious monster who could have possibly cared less for his people and the areas he influenced. So far only America really had the guts to challenge him. Until now.
Twelve Days of fighting, twelve night of fighting. Fate and luck had been on her side during these days of revolution. The rest of Europe had been surprised at the sudden revolt of her and her leaders. (Especially Imre Nagy whom had formerly been a Communist politician and normally had been deemed an introverted figure.) The Soviets even promised to negotiate with her leaders over freedoms, but the female knew better than that. She was being deceived.
"Any day now." She sighed mentally as she stood in the center of Budapest, jacket bundled to fend the cold as a small breeze blew through her hair, trademark frying pan has hanging firm in her dominant hand as Emerald eyes lit up at the sound of screams and gunshots. They were here. The tanks had slowly began to plow through the inner portions of the city. Her rebels were prepared to die for the love of their nation and freedom.
"Ahhoz, hogy Magyarország és a szabadság!" She cried before charging towards enemy troops, catching glimpse of familiar, twinkling lilac eyes in the distance.
