How about yearly? I suppose you can't simply work on a project for 3 months and expect it to fruit. Possibly a decade too.... which is completely plausible in the world of science.

I think I misunderstood your last question. That is very true, three months would not be enough time for the quality of work they would have to put into this while juggling their classes.
What should end up happening is that if you get put on this team, it acts like a class because you have to sacrifice your spring and summer term, if you were going to use it to work or to take extra classes. Although, really you can still take extra classes during those terms anyway so that's not that much of a lost.
The thing is, it's not supposed to be a project that needs more than a year. It's not supposed to revolutionize the world so drastically, of course, if they so happen to come up with something that does, even better. So, twelve months is a perfect amount of time for the project to come to life.
They can find out about it in December and have until next December to finish it. It could be a type of project that's even advertised in Wired magazine. xD

That sounds amazing. We shall stick to that. <3 Any thoughts on team member limit? I would say around 3 (so we can stuff one more German in)? I can't wait to see us humanities / social science majors BSing up scientific terms and theories.

Oh Gott....I'm going to be atrocious with science terms...I may have to do research in mechanical engineering.
Ja, I was thinking a limit of three was good.
Alright, would you care to start us off? Just cause I still have two more threads I need to reply too before I can even begin on a post for this one.
And, do you think I should make it's own category?

Yes, I think there should be an AU section in the game. And I can start a thread in it.
I shall head back to my calc homework now, but expect a reply before 5pm tomorrow. It is just AU so it will be so much easier for me to make stuff up write.

I'll just call it Academia. Good luck with the calc homework.

So, Germany! We should definitely do something together. Jäger training, something involving the failed plan to make Finland a monarchy with Prince Frederick Charles of Hesse as the king, WWII stuff (Lapland war, perhaps?) or maybe something more modern, like the building of Finnish embassy in Berlin and the sauna incident we discussed in chat at one point. Anything goes for me~

Finland! Hallo!
Hmm, I'd love to start something with you. And you've proposed some good thread ideas but I wouldn't mind doing something a little more modern. When you brought up the story of the embassy in Berlin I was greatly intrigued. It's just too bad we don't have a Sweden and Denmark too. Maybe we can try and convince Norway to join in on our thread.
Unless, of course, you had a specific thread in mind, in which case I'm always up for a good historical thread, especially anything to do with the Two World Wars.
Let me know what you think.

Modern works fine for me if that's what you'd prefer, and I'd love to do a thread based on the embassy thing, heh. Like you said, it'd be even better if we had Sweden, but I think we'll manage. Getting Norway to join in with the stone thing would be awesome, too! Poor Germany, the Nordics weren't making the embassy thing easy for him.
And if you want something else modern, I should be able to dig some recent events up. There's the Finnland institut and lots of business relations, at least. Or, it can just be the two meeting up and discussing things casually, maybe sharing a drink. Maybe a sauna-night after a business meeting or Finland attending Oktoberfest? They both do have a love for beer. |D

Oh Gott! You are not making this decision easy at all! Hahaha, I feel like we should do all those threads but in an orderly manner. Actually, ja, this works great. Let's start with the building of the embassy, and make sure to drag Norway into it and then we can work our way through modern threads until present day.
After that, we can work our way back through more historical threads, because we can't leave those fun days behind either.
So, I guess my main question is, would you like to start or would you rather I start?

I agree completely.
Now that we have no Norway, it'll just be you and I which makes for plenty of fun because I'm sure after all the high demands from you Northern European Countries, I'll be needing a drink..
Hmm, to start off, I think we should skip the initial planning of the construction of these embassies and go into they are already being made. Perhaps, we can start it up from when they have just been finished and they are needing their final touches? And that's when the insanity ensues?
What do you think? Any ideas?

Always up for RPing of any kind anytime at all (well within reason ). We've just about completed our old Armistice RP, so something earlier would be welcome if you've anything in mind, or more modern history is fine with me too. Battle of Gazala sounds great too. Not sure how we'd play that out, but hey ol' Rommel was involved so it's bound to be interesting.

So what do you want to do exactly? Battle of Gazala...or something earlier?
