Big letters.
This is important but not really. Such a question was too huge for the chat box.
'What do you like besides Hetalia?'
Interpret that in any way that you like. Because, well, maybe you like sniffing buttons and that sort of thing is close to your heart or something. Maybe peeps have more in common beyond Hetalia like collecting socks or some other comic.

Alright, hmmm, I could honestly write an essay or even a book for this question but I promise to keep it short and to the point.
Besides Hetalia, I enjoy quite a few things (maybe too many things in some people's minds, but that's okay cause in the end they don't really count)....
For one, I love Roller-blading/skating. During the summer I honestly roller-blade everywhere and anywhere and in the winter if I can get to an ice rink and the weather isn't too bad I will. On top of that, I really like biking and fishing, it's oddly soothing. Don't get me started on Football (soccer to NA)...I've been told I'm a bit of a monster on the field, I guess someone has to be. There's also hiking that I love...which is why one day I'd love to hike in Iceland and Norway.
What else, lets see, I really enjoy the Marvel Universe specifically X-men, The Avengers and Thor. I'm always thrilled when a new movie based on the Marvel Universe comes out. If you're looking to read a good comic I advise Journey into Mystery or the Children's Crusade.
Okay, but enough on comics. If it wasn't already obvious from the forum, I love history....it honestly consumes more than half of my day nearly everyday if I'm not instructing at the College...but even then it slips in from time to time. Haha, nothing you can do about it there.
I love film culture and popular and not so popular media. On top of music (any genre besides country).
Languages and Cultures are a big thing for me (since that's half the title of my degree) and I love food....especially cuisine from different countries.
Anyway, I think it's best that I end this here because this has already gotten quite long. But if you have any questions concerning anything I mentioned here or didn't mention, feel free to ask. : )

hehehe ok big question but first and foremost I love ANIMATION~~~ it's both lifeblood and passion though I'm really lazy and don't do enough of it on my own anymore. I studied traditional animation in school and now work for television shows. My name has shown up on tv attatched to Wild Kratts (and YES I worked with the Kratt bros themselves!) and a Christmas special called The Magic Hockey Skates. Following that line of thought I really love Gurren Lagann, Nougami Neuro, Scott Pilgrim, Marceline and the Scream Queens, Hanna is Not a Boy's Name, OGLAF, everything Kate Beaton does, Madoka, FLCL, Panty and Stocking, Adalsysla , and far too many movies to mention. And as far as non animated tv, I really love Supernatural, 1000 Ways to Die, Mythbusters, and Pushing Daisies! I plan to regularily attend TCAF (Toronto Comic Arts Festival) if anyone else does too and would like to hang out! My number one thing I like is my girlfriend Tina so I apologize if I talk about her a lot. And second best would be cats and kittens and if prompted, I will spam you with pictures of my cat until you're crying for me to stop!! Number thre is Canada I love Canada and I love our stereotypes and everything!! I also love music and lean towards alternative rock and pop music, with Gaga, Nicki Minaj, and P!nk topping my most listened right now, and MDNA and Britney shortly behind. I love a lot of things though!! Man this is a hard question. I just love so many things.

Ok, my turn to ramble!
Right, I love going to the movies, especially because there's quite a few nearby, so chances are I'll always talk about a movie I saw the other day, from trashy to Hollywoodian to bizarre Argentine stuff that screams Herrera propaganda, like that— ok enough, so yeah. I also like tv series a lot, currently I'm watching Supernatural, The Borgias, Game of Thrones, The Office (US), The Tudors and BBC Sherlock. Hmm, I guess that's it? Oh, did I mention Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter, because there's that too. And El Chavo, of course, always.
I don't read comics much, besides X-men, and not even that, but very well, we can talk about the movies? What a great fan I am! (/sarcasm) I'm more of a books person, which goes from Fernando Pessoa to Nelson Rodrigues and welp, pity if you guys don't know who these are. (wow you hipster you) Ah, Stephen King is always a go, too, and Allan Poe... Anyway, anyone who's into movies and books there? >->"
Don't get me started on football either, although I don't play it since.. wow, long time, but the cup is coming (I feel this'll become my motto soon enough). Hmm, I'm not quite a sports' person, derp, but I do like diving too, and swimming — what? Winter here in my city is a myth, honestly *sobs*
Music.. As long as it's not funk, we're friends, ok tchutchucos? Ok, no one understood that either. Or country, I'm not a big fan of it either. So yeah, there you go!

I guess I can join on this bandwagon and give you a bit of insight on this Turk. >D
I likeeee.....
Football, no joke, can't live without it. Have to play it, if it's own TV I will watch if it's not on TV, well then it should be on TV. I'm excited for the World Cup....I don't have that much faith that Turkey will even pass through the qualifiers...because they've been having such a no go streak but maybe if I keep my fingers cross a miracle will happen.
I also like the theater/cinema, watching movies are fun and you get a bit of insight on certain things that you wouldn't otherwise. I'm always up to talking about movies, new or old.
Like Germany I really like history, or else why would I be here, right. Although, I concentrate more on Ottoman history but modern Middle East and Modern Turkey interests me just as much.
I love smoking Shisha....I know it's not good for me, but I don't do it often. It's great if you want to meet up with some friends, smoke and talk about really philosophical things (cause honestly that happens way to often to me). Tea or coffee usually goes great with Shisha.
I like playing the Oud, I'm not that good at it but I'm sure if I dedicated more time to playing it I would improve. Right now I have to tune my Oud...which I will get too eventually, when I have more time.
I really like going out with friends and even more so travelling with a good group of friends. It always makes for interesting stories.
Since I mentionned that I play the Oud (poorly or not), I can't live without music. A lot of my music is Turkish but I do have some English and other language songs.
I also really like snowboarding. Odd, I know but we do have mountains here in Turkey to snowboard on. Bl Not that I go to them often but that's besides the point. It's fun and I enjoy it.
Hmmm, this is just some stuff I like but I think it answers the question enough. xD

I wish I had as exciting interests as everyone else.
I'm a big auld stereotypical manga and anime geek. Although I favour manga... Shonen in particular, but I can also enjoy slice of life and a well written josei! Even Shoujo at times, if I can stand the guy. I used to breath the stuff when I was around 16 and first discovered bleach? Which is probably why I'm in this god awful Japanese studies course! I really enjoy studying Japanese history though, and in particular I find modern (and contemporary) history really interesting! Anything to do with East Asia is rather intriguing to study actually!
Despite my love for Japan I do not really enjoy Japanese music or drama... particularly drama. I find that the overacting puts me off watching the show.
That said what I do enjoy on Television however is Ripper Street - a new BBC drama, Sherlock, Big Bang Theory, How I met your Mother, Gok's Style Secrets and Being Erika... to name a few.
Sports wise... I adore water sports. Swimming, Kayaks, windsurfing... give me the opportunity and I will do it! Unfortunately however it's expensive here, and Scottish waters are cold and unforgiving mistresses. So I mostly just swim to pass the time.
I also enjoy watching a bit of cricket! It's something you can multi-task with, and it's also a sport I grew up with.
Books are a love of mine, when I have time to read them. I like Law mysteries and well written fantasy and sci-fi. John Grisham is probably one of my favourite authors, while my favourite book might be Fahrenheit 451! I also have a guilty pleasure thing going on with the 'Left Behind' series, although I was reading it a long long time before glee started to talk about it. You have to be in the right mood to read preachy post apocalyptic fiction, however.
Movies wise... I love them, but I hate to watch them on my own unless they are rom coms! I'm a big Avengers fangirl, although I don't read the comics. Captain America and Iron Man are my favourites, although the Hulk is quickly rising in the ranks.
Anything with Joseph Gordan Levitt is gold in my books! Looper in particular was rather amazing.
Finally, a big part of my life is... TIGER AND BUNNY! The show is seven different levels of amazing, and I of course love Ivan the Japan Otaku. We are kindred spirits!
I should stop here.... I know my interests overlap with at least a few people, so we should geek it up sometime, no? Just send me a PM and I'll be more than happy to wax lyrical about any of the topics above

This will be HUGE.
Okay, what I like besides Hetalia... Actually, I like Hetalia because I have this big passion for History, to the point of studying it and bringing it to my professional life. I'm not a big manga/anime fan, I like a thing here and there, mainly because the art is too pretty to resist than anything. I had my Naruto phase, and my Saint Seiya phase, and my Kenshin phase, and... You get the picture. I like reading things online, like HiNaBN (RIP), TOY, Helvetica, 5th & Main, etc. It's easy, and fast, and when you spend little time at home and most of your day online, that comes in hand.
Besides that, I love reading. I read everything you give me, and sometimes I read stuff just to talk bad things about it later, or to have a strong opinion on that. But I like Terry Pratchett's Discworld a lot, and I have just started a book called Delirium. I like videogames, but I play mostly whatever Kasper's playing at the moment, or whatever my little brother forces me to.
And TV shows. I have no idea where I get the time to watch everything I do, but Sherlock, Merlin (RIP), Doctor Who, HIMYM, Community, Suits, Parks and Recreation, 30 Rock, 2 Broke Girls, Arrow, Revenge, PLL, Game Of Thrones, Girls, Supernatural, Rules of Engagement, Happy Endings, TBBT, and I think that's all.
After The Avengers I tried really hard to get into comics, but just a few things got my interest. Runaways, Young Avengers and Iron Man. I still have a couple things to read, but I need to find the time.
I also like painting, and playing the guitar. Which are the activities that annoy my brother the most, therefore are my favorite.

I should just select a few and stop about it instead. xD
Well, anime/manga is my big thing since...infancy. I literally grew up with that! I started watched classic shows like Sailor Moon and Doraemon before I developed memories, and around 5th grade I started watching subbed anime. I started liking Gundam Seed and Prince of Tennis, then I found yaoi on internet... And I was a yaoi fangirl ever since.
I can't say I am an otaku (as in very knowledgeable about this sub-culture), but I do watch a lot of shows. A few genres that I don't touch include the harem, slutty ones, hentai, and shows like Kanon. I watch/read mostly otome and shonen works. Recently I am into Psycho-Pass, Amnesia, Shin Sekai Yori, Magi, among others. I don't know why but apparently I love most of the anime-adaption from Zero-Sum Comics. Loveless, 07-Ghost and Kuroshitsuji has been a staple for me. And I am highly anticipating KARNEVAL to air soon. If all of that sounds like Greek to you, it's okay. xD
I do enjoy the Japanese music (doujin / anisong in particular) and some drama. Just like what Japan-mun said, actors tend to overact, but there are a few good ones that I would totally recommend. Hit me up. And Sound Horizon, a band, IS MY SOUL.
As Austria-mun myself, I do love classical music very much, but not enough to be a music major. I do play the piano and most instruments from the woodwind family, trying to conquer the brass family too but apparently my lips are too thin... And I also sing classically. Regrettably, I don't do string instruments but my younger brothers made up for that flaw. I have developed a taste for Lieder recently, and I have been looping Mozart's four hand piano sonata (K448 1st mov) for like the hundredth time. If you have questions on music in general, as me~
And I like to cook, especially desserts. xD I am not a great cake chef right, but at least I can make creme brulee right. And I usually cook my lunch box for school.
I also love learning languages too! Hit me up for language practices.
Well, my current #1 love is for my boyfriend, but no worries, you won't be forced to hear me talking only about him because it is inappropriate.
I should stop here. xD
